As someone who has had a variety of workplace experiences but no weighty title, it occurs to me that I might be better served by a functional resume (versus chronological). Has there been any thought as a wizard that would facilitate that? Maybe on LinkedIn or Salary.com? It seems like a great way to value the individual via the sum (product?) of their skills. The templates I’ve seen emphasize skills over title, and value qualifications and experience over chronological history. The writing process includes brainstorming, organizing skillsets by category, and arranging, with a summary, education, and chronological employment located at the bottom.
