Windows 7 Pre-Order Pricing Announced

Microsoft has announced the full-retail and upgrade pricing for Windows 7, with pre-order pricing being deeply discounted.  Details are here via Engadget; with the Amazon page for Home Premium Upgrade ($50) is here, and Business Premium ($100) here (via Slickdeals).

Dual Boot Windows 7?

I’m seriously considering installing the Microsoft Windows 7 Beta and running it dual-boot alongside Vista.  You can get a product number by the following the instructions here and can get the ISOs for the 32 and 64-bit versions on this page.

On Google Chrome

Google’s Chrome (download) is pretty nice.  The comic book promo stuff is cute, too.  It certainly feels faster than Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

But for it to be my daily browser, it would need to tie in the various Google Products, like Docs, Talk, Gmail, etc.  An option that occurs to me after reading the TOS would be taking items saved locally on a users PC (or on Google Services) and using that activity, items, or keywords to drive advertising.  Read more...
