Justice Perverted

Well, in particular, this Mukasey claim is remarkable (fast-forward to 1:21):

Mukasey blubbers about how a missed phone call from a 9/11 Hijacker, if intercepted, could have stopped 9/11. Hamilton refutes this by essentially saying this is important, yet was not shared with the 9/11 Commission, implying one of three things:

  1. Mukasey was making it up for dramatic appeal.
  2. He was repeating something heard elsewhere, believing it to be true.
  3. Somehow, something quite important was suppressed from the 9/11 Commision.

100% of the Inquirer for only -25% Off, Starting Tomorrow…

The struggling Philadelphia Inquirer, helmed by Neo-Press Lord Brian Tierney is offsetting declining advertising revenue with threats of ‘outsourcing’ and layoffs as well as a price increase of $0.25. a short front page paragraph explains the price changes. Will this be enough to stave the paper’s ongoing decline, despite two instances of flying pigs?

In other news, the Inky’s idea of fair-and-balanced is a front page which gives the media-anointed likely Republican Presidential nominee Senator John McCain two thirds of the photo space related to the story. Senators Clinton and Obama meanwhile must share the balance, with 1/6 of the space for each. I suppose this innoculates them from cries of liberal media.

Live Free or Die

The real story in New Hampshire will be turnout and share of the vote. NH registratlons are as follows:

Ind: 44%
Rep: 30%
Dem: 26%

The current polling indicates Independents breaking 2:1 for Democrats, which would give us:

Rep: 45%
Dem: 55%

I suspect NH plays a role in identifying how Independents will vote nationally, just like Iowa informs about rural voters. It will also serve to determine which messages (hope, change, experience, status quo, fear, etc.) resonate with those voters.

You can check the results from the Concord Monitor’s Primary Blog here.
