What does the primary mean? What learnings can be taken away? Did Hillary really win? Did Barack really lose? And what about John McCain?

How grim is it that the second I started reading about Robert Hawkins, the Nebraska mall shooter,  I start wondering if he has a MySpace or blog? 

The issues vultures, be it the Internet or Gun Control nannies from both the left and the right are sure to swoop-in to protect us from Emo kids and semi-automatics.

Saw this in Washington Monthly regarding a teacher in Nebraska, Michael Baker, who was "let go" after a showing of Baghdad ER .  I found the following most interesting:

Baker has clashed with administrators before. In 2005, they objected to his innovative approach to teaching history, which was to start at the present and work backwards, an approach he'd been using for four years.

What a world of difference that makes, teaching history from the viewpoint of the present being linked to the past, as opposed to current events being on e of the inevitable outcomes of manifest destiny.
