Akkam’s Razor

I’m not quite sure what goes into vetting a candidate (by a political party), but I suspect it is similar to what a nominee for Executive Appointment requiring Senate Confirmation goes through, with the notable addition of looking at what effect said candidate has on the polling, down-ticket races, and other assorted after-affects.  I wrote about the Senate Confirmation vetting process previously.

Write it down…Rice, Frist, and Allen are DONE. 

Rice for moving the goal post on the meeting with George Tenet on July 10th, 2001, that she initially asserted didn't happen, then wasn't about what was reported (a dire threat to the US from Al Qaeda), and then that it's ludicrous that she would actually dismiss such news.  She has not made any further statements since documentation (and George Tenets 9/11 Commision testimony) all concure - the meeting did happen, that is what was discussed, and Rice took NO action.
