Akkam’s Razor

We may still be in the economic wilderness, but that doesn’t stop some of the perennial oportunists optimists from calling various bottoms, peaks, and heralding recoveries, reversals, and “green shoots”.  I’m hesitant to declare “the presence of ponies within the horseshit” just yet.  Afterall, even though we may be able to agree on the causes, what exactly has changed, and how have we ensured that we won’t be revisiting this situation again in the near future?  As best as I can tell, the jury is still out as to whether the changes enacted by the Federal Reserve and the Treasury as well as actions by both the prior and current executive and legislative branches are appropriate and sufficient.  Read more...
