Akkam’s RazorMedia Omnivore.

Now that my household is desktop-free (with his-and-her’s laptops), it’s difficult to share photos, music, and documents across our wireless network.  I previously had Orb running on the desktop, which allowed me to share files as well as use my at-home desktop’s TV-card to watch TV anywhere, including via capable mobile devices.

At some point in the near future, I plan on adding a Network Attached Storage device to my network.  My criteria is the ability to access files across both my network at home and anywhere via the internet, the ability to stream media off the drive, and the ability to automate backups.  I’ve created an Amazon Listmania for “Networked Attached Storage” to help share my choices with everyone.  Fell free to use the list as well, and comment in the links here with your own feedback, comments, and suggestions.  Read more...
