Let’s be blunt – the job of Vice President is to due the perfunctory tasks that are beneath that of the President of the United States. As John Adams said, the Vice Presidency was ”the most insignificant office that ever the invention of man contrived or his imagination conceived.”
That said, the Vice President does preside of the Senate, and breaks ties. I would like to hear what each of the candidates – incumbent Vice President Joe Biden and Representative Paul Ryan would and would not vote for. Which candidate would vote to break a tie on the repeal of Obamacare, or the closing of middle-class friendly tax loopholes like the mortgage interest and property tax deductions, or which would be a tool to further deeply partisan agendas…
