There are four theories as to why Mitt Rmoney won’t release his taxes. 1) he pays an absurdly lower rate of taxes relative to us mere commoners. 2) His taxes reflect an obscene amount of money hidden in offshore accounts (and returned to the US to avoid a humongous penalty in the late-200Xs). 3) He under-tithes to the Mormon church, relative to his peers. 4) He committed voter fraud by illegally voting for Scott Brown in the 2010 special election to replace Ted Kennedy, stating that a quarter-billionaire was living in his son’s basement, despite the fact that he files his taxes in California and has no residence in Massachusetts. I personally hope its #4.
The Obama campaign requested that the campaign release the same number has Romney’s father did in 1968. He of course has refused. The Obama campaign is now asking for only 5-years, which is only 3-more years of returns than we already have, promising to stop demanding he follow his father’s lead. Still Rmoney refuses. If he hasn’t done anything wrong, he has nothing to worry about.
