Every time one of our leading lights goes off about how (insert your favorite candidate) is losing because he/she isn’t doing exactly what I want him to do, that leaves a mark. People read that, hear that, and get worried. Doubt seeps in. People start to second-guess themselves, and the next thing you know, the foreign press is predicting a surge in anti-American sentiment if McCain wins.
