Akkam’s Razor

Google’s Chrome (download) is pretty nice.  The comic book promo stuff is cute, too.  It certainly feels faster than Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

But for it to be my daily browser, it would need to tie in the various Google Products, like Docs, Talk, Gmail, etc.  An option that occurs to me after reading the TOS would be taking items saved locally on a users PC (or on Google Services) and using that activity, items, or keywords to drive advertising.

I suspect that Google is doing something with Gears and the concept of Browser as OS.  Think of Microsoft’s attempt to monopolize the desktop via MSIE but without the Operating System.  I could see Chrome functioning as the common interface, much like Adobe’s AIR.
