Vetting a Candidate.

August 25th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I’m not quite sure what goes into vetting a candidate (by a political party), but I suspect it is similar to what a nominee for Executive Appointment requiring Senate Confirmation goes through, with the notable addition of looking at what effect said candidate has on the polling, down-ticket races, and other assorted after-affects.  I wrote about the Senate Confirmation vetting process previously.

You’d have thought somewhere along the line that someone would have asked him to prove he is eligible under the U.S. Constitution.

I presume you are referring to President-Elect Obama. He was vetted by the DNC, the GOP through opposition research, the US and international media, and the majority of voters. Only dead-enders believe that nonsense. He won. Your guy lost. Get over it.
