Congratulations, American Taxpayers! It appears your stimulus tax break will be reduced by 63% ($300, versus the initially suggested $800); I’d imagine business’ stimulus tax relief will increase.

Let’s not bend over backwards congratuling the financial and business pundits that are finally admitting the economy is FUBAR - the more they cry, the more likely (and the greater amount of) a taxpayer-funded, government-enacted financial sector bailout becomes.

Speaking of which, this whole mess is an academic multi-disciplinary ‘New Coke’ moment, covering psychology, economics, marketing, accounting, fiscal policy, politics, and human resources.
