Daddy-Daycare: A Programming Note

The handful of you that know me in real life are already aware that a significant (but temporary) change has happened in my life, one that will no doubt affect my online life…

I have started a 12-week period of Family Medical Leave for childcare of my 3 girls. As someone who has diligently (and deliberately) kept a firewall between his in-real-life and online life, the blogging change will be just as challenging a life change as not working.

(Ok, not really the same. But it will be a challenge).

For you, dear reader, this means a change in both the frequency, intensity, and type of content.

Strangely enough, it is easier to actually write a structured narrative, which is different for me from my usual posts - namely blockquotes, cross-links, and analysis. Most of my reading is via Google Reader Mobile on my Dell Axim Pocket PC and writing in a plain ‘ole text writer on the same. The impact on you will be both an increase is typos & misspellings and less or worse formatting.

The biggest change will be less links in the del.icio.us Daily Links.

I hope you continue reading and finding this blog valuable.
