Network Effects in the Workplace

Businessweek recently featured an infographic sourced with data from Forrester Research, highlighting 6 different categories of activities and the participation level in those activities among 7 different age groups, spanning from young teens through seniors.

In examining the chart, one can see who internet use is constrained for the young teen, explodes during the college-aged years, only to drop again once entering the workplace.  Will the Facebook and MySpace users, the Net Natives, continue their utilization of web applications in their personal and professional lives, and is it beneficial or dangerous for the employer?
