Gil Spencer has done a two-part bio on Sestak in the Delaware County Daily Times this week. Yesterday’s column picked up on the “bad leader” meme that Weldon’s people have been pushing. Spencer had a few anonymous quotes from (we assume) former subordinates who didn’t like him.
Today’s piece had a bevy of on-the-record quotes from people who admired Sestak during their work with him in the Navy.
Final verdict: demanding but effective. brilliant. driven. but plenty of evidence that he cared about his team and spread the credit around.
