It looks like the conservative base knows full well that the Republicans are blowing smoke up their asses (sorry) regarding the unpassable gay marriage ban.

Bush unexpectedly moved his press conference out of the Rose Garden to a less prominent location (video). Meanwhile, Blogactive posts a redacted personal correspondence from a Senator.  Blogactive is a prominent LGBT activist site.  Do the math.

Lastly, just for proof that the internet cannot be outsnarked, are reports that voters are calling the offices of their Senators and Congressmen, asking deeply personal and embarassing questions about their personal lives.
