Akkam’s Razor

Sorry, but like the grassy knoll, there will always be doubts in my mind regarding Flight 93.  Let me clear, I don’t think there is any grand conspiracy of imploded buildings, remote control jets, and shady financial dealings, leading up to manufactured nationalism and the consent of the people to crusade against radical Islam.  The trickling of information, coverups, and declarations of secrecy in the name of National Security is not proof of criminality, it’s the by-product of the need to coverup arrogance and incompetence.

The movie, by all accounts, is faithful to the teary-eyed heroics that we’ve heard oover and over again, woven into the tapestry of our national heritage, with “Let’s Roll” joining the like of “Day of Infamy” and  “Remember Pearl Harbor”.

But what of the two F-16 ghosting the plane?  And what of the shootdown order from the Vice President, which despite all of the copious record keeping of that momentus day, Cheney maintains was approved by the Vice President via a phone call, a phone call not supported by any evidence viewed by the 9/11 Commission?  Did “Big Time” act as the President, again, on his own?  Will the details get lost among the powerful visual and emotional narrative?  More via Attytood.
