Tinfoil and Bad Reporting Today on the Blogosphere!!

January 9th, 2006 · No Comments

The miner episode in West Virginia is a perfect example of wishful thinking meeting sloppy reporting.

Edit: Disclaimer - I like conspiracy theories - but there’s nothing to suggest anything happened here - but I wouldn’t be suprised to be hearing that he was "whacked" by the end of the day.

Expect to see the same today on the blogs, with strong allusions to Vince Foster - a noted New York Times reporter, David E. Rosenbaum was found robbed and beaten on one of the safest streets in NW Washington (DC).  He later died of his injuries.  There are no witnesses or clues other than "two men seen getting into a car".

Rossenbaum had previously covered Watergate, Iran-Contra, and Congressional Budgetary debate.  You can view his summaries of his recent articles and the blogosphere’s commentary at the Annotated NYTimes.
