One-Degree of Separation from Kevin Bacon

October 17th, 2005 · No Comments

Edmund Norwood Bacon (b. 1910) passed away on Friday (10/14/2005) evening at the ripe old-age of 95. There are two resons for the mention of his passing - first, and least important, is that he is the father of Kevin Bacon (as well as that other Bacon brother). What’s most important, however, is the impact he has had on the appearance and appeal of Philadelphia in the last half-century.

Some of Bacon’s projects include Market East, Penn’s Landing, the Gallery, and Society Hill.
