Phillycrime.org is designed as a public service to provide easy access to crime information, for the community of West Philadelphia. Citizens may use this site to learn when and where specific types of crime tend to occur in their neighborhood or workplace.

 

About the data

Data from Penn Public Safety include all criminal incidents reported to the University Police Department, patrolling from Market Street to Baltimore Avenue and from the Schuylkill River to 43rd Street. Data from the PPD’s 18th District include only those incidents from the Schuylkill River to 49th Street and Market Street to Woodland Ave. The locations of incidents are often reported only to the resolution of street blocks. Please consult the Penn Almanac to understand the data fully.
