Will $3 be the tipping point for gasoline?

August 25th, 2005 · No Comments

Mentally, $1.50 represents the normal price level for gas, at least for me. I’ve already downsized my fleet (1 car only), and fuel economy is a definite factor when considering the replacement for my Saturn Ion. I already walk to the train and take mass transit to work. Beyond that, there really is nothing different I can do to reduce my transportation related expenses. And it’s still no consolation that milk, soda, and bottled spring water are still more expensive then gasoline, or that it’s still cheaper, adjusted for inflation, than what it was in the 1980s.
