Back in my Saturn-selling days, there was a “gimmick” that Saturn used to help their salespersons demonstrate the Saturn difference. That gimmick was the cutaway car, which they had done since the beginning. Better photos later - I promise. These are from the lobby area at the Spring Hill Saturn Complex.
Every Saturn dealer was obligated to BUY a real, running car, gut it, stuff it, and display it on their sales floor.
The salespersons would then do a selective presentation of a few areas based on the customer’s concerns, wants, or needs (SPACED= Safety, Performance, Accessibilty, Convenience, Economy, Durability). The kit that each dealer got was color coded (Yellow=safety, Blue=Performance, etc.) to make it easier for sales people to remember what points to cover.
