Akkam’s Razor

A couple of weeks ago, a Best Buy exec said in the Wall Street Journal that they want to split their customers into Angels and Devils. Angels are “good” customers - Devils are bad customers - bad being those who make fraudulent returns, exchanges, etc.

Typically, a retailer keeps this info themselves. But some retailers share this info with an outside subcontractor, who returns your return information and will make decisions as to whether you can or can’t make a return.
