He’s invoking "War Time President" - I’m sure that will be a central theme in his election campaign.
So far, he’s non-committal on testifying at the Iraq Intelligence Commission, & evasive on estifying at the 9/11 commission.
On WMDs: "Saddam is a bad man!" "Saddam had the capacity to make weapons." Now, instead of citing imminent threats, we should strike before the threat becomes imminent.
When asked about "iron-clad" evidence - and that the evidence was wrong - he based the attack on the threat as opposed to evidence.
No one can argue that there were unaccounted-for weapons that could be a threat.
He’s evasive on his response to the people asking for proof of intelligence citing Iraq’s threat.
Will we allow a fundamentalist-Islamic regime to be installed. He stated that "they" - the Iraqis will not allow it.
Was the risk of life and limb in Iraq, with sketchy evidence of weapons/programs & links to terrorists, on the basis of his treatment of his countrymen, worth it? 500+ injuries & 3k injuries to fight the Iraqis’ war for them? Bush’s answer is yes.
Bush’s Military Record: "I was honorably discharged." "If I didn’t report, I wouldn’t have been honorably discharged." He states that the records are open and available. "Vietnam was a political war."
Jobs, employment, budget, & debt: Why does he deserve to be rehired?
Because he has been president during tough times & he cut taxes. His promises of the creation of one million plus jobs are in progress.
Fiscal Policy: In 2040 (via the GAO), the fiscal policy will require taxes to be doubled or spending to be halved. The onus of responsibility will be on the Congress.
Partisanship & being a uniter or divider. Why do people hold him in such low regard? He doesn’t know, & he’s not going to change.
They were both in "Skull & Bones" - no disclosure there, I guess they can’t really talk about it.
